Good sleep is very important in one's life. As a good sleep helps in muscle recovery and also keep full of energy next day. Good sleep also helps in relieving from stress or tension. It relaxes your mind.

A good sleep also has several other benefits like boosting immune power, increasing focus, etc.

If a person does not sleep properly then it can increase risk of many diseases like heart disease, stroke, obesity, and so.



Tips for Good Sleep



1.Sleep Schedule



Be consistent and disciplined towards your sleep and wake up time everyday even on holidays.



2.Limit Screen Time



Try to keep yourself away from mobile phones, T.V, laptop, computer, etc. at least 1-2 hours before going to sleep. As light from these devices effects the production of sleep hormone melatonin.



3.Exercise Regularly



Exercise regularly but do not practice difficult or high intensity exercises nearly going to sleep. Try to exercise in morning or early afternoon.



4.Limit Naps



Avoid taking long naps during the day. If you are extremely tired, then only take 20-30 minutes naps. Also avoid taking naps late in the day.

Manage your stress and anxiety by meditation, spending time with family & friends, going for walk, yoga, etc.




6.Diet



Take a healthy diet avoid heavy or oily meals, caffeine, alcohol, etc. when you are going to sleep.




7.Environment



Manage your sleeping environment; it should be of proper temperature, dark and calm. Use a comfortable pillow and mattress.
